Silicon sleeves by themselves tend to stretch and wear out, so it is nice to have the hard shell keeping it in place.

The DualPro Case for iphone 5 features a soft finish on the exterior, with a bit of grip on the edges thanks to the silicon inner layer. The case is about as thick as my iPhone 4 in a cheap hard case. While it adds thickness to the phone, it doesn’t make it unwieldy or un-pocketable.
