Now that the Apple iPhone 5 has been released there is a rush to find a case to protect these gorgeous new phones. Because the iPhone 5 is made out of aluminum, it is supposed to be less likely to crack or shatter, but do you rally want to leave your phone naked? he Incipio DualPro iPhone 5 case is dual layer iPhone 5 case designed to protect the scratch prone iPhone 5 from nicks and bumps.
This two part case includes a silicon inner piece and an external hardcase for extra protection. This isn’t a rugged iPhone 5 case, but it offers more protection than most silicon only cases.

The iphone 5 case that we are looking at today is the DualPro, which is made by Incipio Technologies. The DualPro Case for iphone 5 is a hard shell case with an inner silicone sleeve. Incipio officially states that the two-part DualPro case is a "unique hybrid design combining a Plextonium hard shell frame with a shock absorbing silicone frame." What is Plextonium you might ask? Plextonium is a proprietary blend of Polycarbonate made by Incipio that is said to deliver better drop and scratch resistance while also allowing easy, reliable manufacturing.
The DualPro Case for iphone 5 turned out to be a very nice case that fit and complemented the iPhone 5 nicely. Some cases are too thick and take away from the smartphone, but that was not the situation with the DualPro. It also feels like it has the ability to protect the iPhone 5 with the two layers of protection and we love that. Silicon sleeves by themselves tend to stretch and wear out, so it is nice to have the hard shell keeping it in place.

The DualPro Case for iphone 5 features a soft finish on the exterior, with a bit of grip on the edges thanks to the silicon inner layer. The case is about as thick as my iPhone 4 in a cheap hard case. While it adds thickness to the phone, it doesn’t make it unwieldy or un-pocketable.
The DualPro Case for iphone 5 offers easy access to the new bottom located headphone jack, and because of the soft silicon liner it accommodates larger headphone jacks that don’t fit many other iPhone 5 cases. The case offers a large opening for the Lightning connector, and it’s possible that it will work with the Lightning to 30-pin adapter.
